Road to 200

John Sisler as he crossed his 100 mile make, making a new personal best.

I got to spend some time over the past few days helping Crew for my friend John Sisler.  John is an ultra marathon runner who's plan was to run the Tuna 200, a 200 mile relay race from Raleigh to Atlantic Beach, NC, to raise awareness and funds for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Since John would be running pretty much 24 hours a day, he needed support in the form of help with navigation, fuel, gear adjustments and general encouragement. His Crew Chief was fellow ultra runner, Ashby Ray, who holds the Tuna200 solo course record.  He was joined by Liza, John's wife and friends Mike Gallagher, Chris Foster and myself. Since Ashby and Liza were with John the whole time, almost 48 hours, John was on his journey, they were pretty tired and happy for the help that Mike, Chris and I were able to provide.

While helping out, I was able able to capture some images of the awesome experience.

While he did not complete the 200 miles, John did complete 105 miles, reaching a new personal best and raised over $10,000 for Wounded Warrior Project.
